Opening Story:

In Nevertales: The Beauty Within, you're just about to settle in with a good book when you're interrupted by a pounding on your front door. When you answer, you're met with the fleeing taillights of a car and a tiny baby on your doorstep. Without hesitation, you grab the baby and give pursuit, finding yourself wandering the halls of magical castle, talking to owls, and stepping through a magical portal. Now it's up to you to keep the baby safe as you attempt to find the answers to this perplexing enigma. Who are the baby's parents? And what does she have to do with you? Find out in this exciting hidden object adventure game!

General Tips for Nevertales: The Beauty Within

Difficulty - There are four modes of difficulty: Casual Reader, Bookworm, Scholar, and Choose Your Own. Casual Reader includes a tutorial, has sparkle indicators for HOG sections and active areas, there are indicators on the map, and the hint and skip button charges quickly. Bookworm does not include the tutorial, has sparkle indicators for HOG sections only, has no map indicators, and the hint and skip buttons charge slowly. Scholar has no tutorial, no sparkles, no map indicators, and no hint and skip buttons. Choose Your Own lets you customize your game the way you want to play.

Arrow Cursor - When you cursor turns into an arrow, it means you go move in that direction.

Hand Cursor - When your cursor turns into a hand, it means you can pick up an item and add it to your inventory or interact with an object.

Magnifying Glass - When your cursor turns into a magnifying glass it means you can zoom into an area to get a better look or just inspect something more closely.

Hidden Object Scenes -  Hidden object scenes will be indicated by sparkles if you're playing on Casual Reader or Bookworm. Objects in blue require an extra step to locate them. Objects in orange require you to gather pieces. There is a morphing object within every hidden object scene.

Inventory -  Your inventory can be found at the bottom of the screen. Items you collect as you play can be found here. When you see a plus sign over an item in your inventory, it means you can take a closer look.

Hints -  The hint button found in the lower right hand corner of your screen. Click here if you're stuck. Just remember, the button takes time to charge before you can use it again.

Journal -  Your journal is a smart phone in this game and can be found in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Your notes, objectives, and game progress are stored here.

Menu - The menu button is located at the bottom left portion of your screen.

Skip - During mini-games, if you are having trouble or maybe you just don't feel like solving it, you can click on the skip button.Once you find Gears, the owl, you can click on him to solve the game for you.

Locket - Your locket is found in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Collect the heart tokens to unlock it.

Roses - There is a rose hidden in every scene. Collect them all, 45 total, in order to unlock the hidden chapter of the game.

Gears - Gears is a little owl you find in the beginning of the game. He will help you obtain hard to reach items by flying up and grabbing them for you.

Map - The map is located in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Depending on what difficulty level you are playing on, you should have indicators that will let you know if you have an objective to solve. Click on an area to fast travel.
