Opening Story: 

In Christmas Stories: Nutcracker,  you've waitied your whole life to go to the Christmas Ball, but sadly, you miss your chance and arrive too late. However, Christmas magic is afoot as you encounter the Nutcracker who is in desperate need of your assistance in finding Princess Mary and defeating the evil Rat King. General Tips for Playing Christmas Stories: Nutcracker

Difficulty Settings - There are three difficulty settings in Christmas Stories: Nutcracker. Casual which provides hint glimmers and faster hint charging. Advanced which has no glimmer hints and the hint button takes longer to charge. Or Hardcore, which has no hints, no glimmers, and no skip button

Magnifying Glass Icon - When your cursor turns into a magnifying glass, it means you can zoom in on an area to get a closer look.

Hand Cursor - When your cursor turns into a hand, it means you can pick up an item and add it to your inventory or interact with an item in some way. 

Hidden Object Scenes - Hidden Object Areas will sparkle. Click to start one. Objects in blue require an extra step in order for you to locate the object. 

Inventory - Your inventory bar can be found at the bottom of the screen. Just hover your mouse over that area to bring it up. 

Hints - Hints can be found in the lower right hand corner of your screen. Click here if you're stuck. Just remember, these take time to charge before you can use it again.  

Skip - During mini-games, if you are having trouble or maybe you just don't feel like solving it, you can click on the skip button.

Info - During a mini-game if you need a hint or better explanation on what you're supposed to do, just click on this. 

Reset - If you need to start over during a mini-game, click on this button. 

Map - Click on the map icon in the lower left corner. To travel back and forth between areas in the town, just click on the area on the map. 

Rats - You will encounter rats on your journey. Use the Nutcracker on a rat to defeat it. Remember he can only defeat one rat. 

Arrow Cursor - These will appear when you are able to move to another screen. Click to move.
