I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day, or as my single friends call it, Single Awareness Day. Curtis and I went out for a nice dinner, he bought me some beautiful flowers and some chocolates. It was a first Valentine's Day, so he went "classic style." I had a wonderful time.
You don't really care about all that though, what you want to know about is this game! The game is called Phantasmat. I stayed up many late nights working on this guide because I just hated to turn it off. That is how great this game is! I wouldn't recommend playing it late at night though, unless you have company, because it's really creepy. Lucy liked to find new ways to scare me when I got really engrossed in the game.
What is so great about this game? Everything! First, you have the storyline. Creepy and very intriguing. I'm not a huge fan of "creepy" hidden object games, but this one really grabbed me. I just can't say it enough.
The graphics were great, almost on par with Mystery Case Files, and you know those are my favorites. The ambiance really helped me feel like I was "in" the game, and trust me, this is not some place you want to be. The character voices were spot on, they gave me chills. There were plenty of hidden object areas to explore, always a plus in a hidden object game. They were, for me, easy to moderate. There were lots of puzzles, all of which I was able to not use the skip button, but I wouldn't call them overly easy or anything. The game is very logical in the sense that you pretty much know what to do next, no guessing on what that object could possibly be used for, no - why on earth would I ever think to use that there type puzzles. I give this game 2 thumbs up and rate it a 10 out of 10! I highly recommend you purchase this game at once! It's money well spent. Remember, this is not the collectors edition, just the plain jane version.
So, what's next. I have no idea. I have my eye on many games, but they are currently collectors editions. However, I'm always keeping an eye out for a new and exciting hidden object game. So... until next time, happy gaming!
