Well Easter was a nice, quiet event where I could stop pulling my hair out and quit having anxiety attacks every hour. But I swear… I feel like I’m the only one freaking out! Does anyone realize that it’s April???? This is it… this is our last month just about… breathe Morgan… breathe… OK. I can do this.
OK, no I can’t… I need to escape reality for a little bit, and the best place I could think of right now is to jump straight into Life Quest 2: Metropoville and play a pretend life for a little bit. But man… pretend life can be just as difficult although pretty fun and rewarding if I do say so myself…

OK, no I can’t… I need to escape reality for a little bit, and the best place I could think of right now is to jump straight into Life Quest 2: Metropoville and play a pretend life for a little bit. But man… pretend life can be just as difficult, although pretty fun and rewarding if I do say so myself…
So, if you’re in to Sims-type games, you’re really going to love this Life Quest 2: Metropoville. The premise of the game is that you live in a pretty awful place, but just as you’re getting ready to settle in to squander, you see an ad on TV that tells you to come live in this great new place, Metropoville, where you can get a new start on life! So naturally, you’re on the first bus there and are ready to get started!
However, you can’t start a fantastic new job right away… no, you have to work at it and start at the bottom. Anyhow, I was soon settled into my new job as a dishwasher over at the local diner. But a career is just one of the aspects of your new life you get to work on. You have a total of 12 areas that are available for improvement including popularity, education, fitness, and more. Each area gives you points toward some aspect of your life, whether it’s practicality or intelligence.
You also need to work on your happiness levels at all times. Just like real life, work will get you down… so you have to make sure you work on things that will make you happy. Having a pet can make you happy. You start out with a fish, but can move on to cats, dogs, and birds as you make more money. Eating can also make you happy… hmmmm, this is sounding like me more and more! And leisurely activities like going to the amusement parks can also help chase away the blues.
The graphics of the game are really fun and cartoonish. Nothing super exciting and beautiful… it’s just not that kind of game. What I thought was really super fun and unique about Life Quest 2 were the comments throughout the game. You have to actually read everything… trust me, it’s worth it. Everything is done very tongue-in-cheek. One of my first classes that I took at the University was Underwater Basket Weaving! And, when I went to the University, they told me to be quiet because people were pretending to study!
It was those little details that made the game and had me laughing out loud as I played. Overall, Life Quest 2: Metropoville was definitely the escape I was looking for… in fact… I think I’ll go see what Morgan in Metropoville is doing right now… see ya later!
