I took a little breather in between writing walkthroughs and played the demo for Youda Fisherman. This game takes an interesting twist on games such as Youda Survivor or the Farm Frenzy series. From comments on the forums, it looks like those who loved other Youda games didn't care for this one too much and those that couldn't stand the others actually loved this one. Me, I'm in the middle. At first I wasn't too fond of it but then I changed my mind!

In any case, Youda Fisherman is a challenging Time Management game where you are given goals to meet for each level and a certain amount of time to do it. The interesting twist is that you are commanding a harbor where you get boats to fish for you and then process the fish to make other products that you can sell for wood or gold. The wood powers the entire facility, which includes the factories, an oil pumping machine that supplies your fishing boats, and your pirate "zapper" defense. If you run out of wood everything pretty much shuts down. You can also sell wood for money. Everything that you need to pick up gets tossed in crates into the harbor. The pirate ships are easy to destroy (at least in the beginning) by zapping them from your towers; according to Youda Games this game is a cross between Tower Defense and Time Management. Eventually you will get boats that will go out to the edge of the harbor to fight the pirates for you and then who knows what improvements you will get as the game goes on!
Youda Fisherman gets up to speed pretty quickly and things can get kind of crazy as you have to pick stuff up, keep you boats supplied with fuel, fend off sharks, scare away pirates, and make sure that you have enough wood on hand to keep your harbor running. I don't want to even think what might happen if you run out of wood and a pirate ship comes along!
If you are into Time Management games, you definitely should download the Youda Fisherman demo and give it a try. It might just be your thing!
