I have been staying pretty close to home during our latest storms. Most of the roads have been closed at one time or the other so you don’t want to go too far or you may not be able to get home for a day or two. My little dog Lulu loves to take a walk but hates the rain so it has been a struggle because she won’t wear any kind of sweater or coat. The trials and tribulations of owning a pet! So with time on my hands I have been playing games. Penny Dreadfuls Sweeny Todd is one of the best. You play a detective trying to catch up with a guy who is killing people and then having his girlfriend bake them into pies. Ugh!!I thought I might as well tell you that right at the beginning. If you can get past that you will have a good time playing.
This game is not easy. The puzzles are really hard and they give you no clues how to solve them. Some of them I solved and a lot of them I used the skip button. Using the skip button adds time to your game but personally don’t care how long it takes to play anyway. There is a jigsaw puzzle after every chapter that is fairly easy. Also you get graded after every chapter. Sometimes I did pretty well and other times not. Some of the hidden object scenes are crowed but they are clear so you get used to them. Also you are asked to find items I never heard OF. What the heck is a spotted dick anyway?!!! Once you play you will find out what they are talking about, if you can remember! I liked the fact that you had to go back and forth between scenes a lot to find clues. It really makes the game fun. Sweeny Todd had me hooked from the get go. If you are the squeamish kind you might want to look elsewhere for your entertainment. As for me I loved it! See what you think!
