You will love Farmers Market if you are a lover of time management games where you do not have to frantically click to pick up products, seat people in the properly colored chairs, or have your blood pressure go up while trying to complete a level. In this game you build different farmers market stalls to sell items to the customers of the market. You can sell items that come directly from the farm or combine them together to make delicious treats, such as cookies, pies, fries, and BBQ. Once you build your stalls, your workers will keep them supplied with ingredients, deliver drinks to hungry stall owners, and empty trashcans to keep the customers happy. You will be able to send items to the judging booth to increase their value. Buying a bandstand will increase the number of customers in the market.
Farmers Market requires forethought and planning to complete each level in expert time. Many times I would restart the level when I realized that I should have done my building a bit more efficiently. Personally I really like games that make me think and not just react. My mouse died while writing the walkthrough and I was actually able to play the game with my touchpad on my laptop. There are many games where I cannot even attempt to play it without a mouse. I am pleased to say that this is not one of those. You need to use your brain and not your nimble fingers to be successful in Farmers Market. The game also has an un-timed mode for those who just want to enjoy themselves with no pressure.
Take a look at the walkthrough. It will help you get the sometimes elusive expert time on all levels. Even if you don’t usually need to use one, you might want to take a look just to find out which levels add on goals in the middle of the level and what those add on goals are. I hope you enjoy Farmers Market as much as I did.
