Greetings fellow gamers, I'm Lucy Katherine, or "Kat". Yes, I adore kats - well, cats. I'm Anne's good friend and college roommate and of course, younger sister to her boyfriend, Curtis. I hail from Pennsylvania, but attend college in Southern California. My brother, who is a total prat - yes, I love British slang, accents, and it all started with Harry Potter, but I digress - is supposed to be dating Anne. You know, one of those long distance relationships that always work out? Not! Anyway, he was school with us to be close to Anne and I, but has suddenly decided to transfer back to Pennsylvania. Sounds fishy to me and I aim to find out why. Enough about him and more about me.
I guess you could call me a "gothic chick", sort of like Abby on NCIS, but even cooler. I don't like labels, so I just say I really like the color black. Black clothes, black hair, black nails, well, you get the idea, right? Anne has tried to "brighten" me up, and I humor her from time to time, but secretly I hate it. Well, cats out of the bag now because I'm sure she'll read this. So why am I here bothering you? Anne writes great guides, but she really prefers the fantasy, girly crap. Me, I like dark and as she puts it, "creepy" crap. So, she simply asked me if I would write all those ghoulish guides for you, of course I said yes, it's like a dream come true.
So for my first appearance, I bring you a game called F.A.C.E.S. It's a nice dark, "creepy", game that just called my name. Who doesn't want to have special powers AND be locked up in an asylum with no possible way out? No brainer, me! You play this chick who can enter photo's and take things from them. She uses this impressive power to help save the other inmates and free herself. However, the game isn't over just yet, or at least I hope not because this game is simply fab. Happy ending, nope, cliffhanger? Yes!
Now, on to why I like the game besides the fear factor. The graphics rock. They are so realistic I thought I was actually inside that asylum and exploring its every nook and cranny. Some puzzles were pretty easy, others, not so much and for those I made some epic videos for you. The background noises, you know screams, groaning, creaking, etc. were super freaky and made the game so much more intense. There was a lot of hidden object areas, so fans of those will love this game. I would say they were sort of hard, but not extremely difficult. I did use a hint a few times, although I really hate to admit that. It could ruin my image.
Now, should you buy this game? Totally! If you want to wait for the regular edition, that's cool. I wrote the guide so you could use it when that releases. I'm off now to find an equally scary game for my next challenge. Ciao!
