While off on Thanksgiving vacation with my family, I decided to a little sneak peek of an upcoming game from Alawar and Dream Dale. What is it called? Elementary, My Dear Majesty. Even the title is fun! This isn't your ordinary casual game. In fact, it's anything but ordinary!
The game is in 3D which makes it very unique compared to other casual games. It's a combination hidden object/adventure game,/time management game, but not your "usual" hidden objects. You are summoned by the King whose daughter has turned into a rabbit, well, not really, she's turned into a MONSTER! She's even eating people! Did I mention the game is extremely funny? The dialogue really keeps me laughing. Anyway, it is your job to find the cure or you may be escorted directly to the guillotin.
I should point out this game is far from easy. You are given tasks, sort of like a time management game, and you have to collect the items. This is where the hidden object comes in and they are not easy to find. In the very start of the game I found myself catapulting adorable sheep to the other side of the island so they could help you make juice. Corny, but cute.I also got to use a magnetic crane to help pick up things and put them in another spot. And I can't forget the baby frogs I had to rescue, or the guards who.... well, I shouldn't give away too much!
There are 14 levels with many things to do in each one. Each level is timed and you have the option to replay the levels to beat your own time. There are over 100 puzzles to solve in this comical game.I'm really looking forward to it's upcoming release. This game is definitely a gem in the rough and one you'll want to try out as soon as possible. Here is a little teaser video for you.
