Dragon Keeper 2 is a sweet, but busy, time management game. Usually Max looks at a game that I am playing (that is, if I "allow him") and watches for a few minutes and says, "Well, that isn't very much fun!" But, this time, I had to peel him away from my side just to write the review for this game!
In Dragon Keeper 2, you get to take care of really cute baby dragons while collecting the gems they drop and fending off bad guys. At the end of the day, you can make pieces of jewelry with your gems that you can then sell for money. This money can then be used to buy more caretaking equipment or more dragon eggs. You are also given quests to accomplish that can be quite challenging to finish in expert time, especially if you make the mistake of selling off too many gems.

Fortunately (or not, depending upon your point of view), this is not a kids' game as it gets pretty challenging after a couple of levels. But it is very nice to have a game where I can cuddle up with my son and experience a game we can play "together." This is definitely one of those games. Of course, Dragon Keeper 2 plays just fine without a kid too!
Dragon Keeper 2 is similar to the game Magic Flower, except that your dragons don't stay in one place like a plant would. This makes the game a little more frenzied. From what I have been reading on the forums, if you haven’t played the first game, it won't be a problem just jumping into this game. In fact, it seems that some of the problems with the first game have been worked out really well in this sequel. All in all, it's a fun little game and well worth giving it a try!
