When you first arrive at Midnight Castle, Professor Pinfeathers will inform you that your Uncle's compass can help you find the Chamber of Wishes, but that it was broken around the time of your uncle's death. Now, your first task as owner of the castle is to repair the compass. He'll then direct you to your first hidden object scene. 

First Hidden Object Scene - The Broken Carriage. 

• Play the hidden object scene and you will receive the first piece of the compass - The Needle. 
• Click on the image of the compass at the bottom and drag the needle onto the compass to repair it. 
• Next, Prof. Pinfeathers will tell you that you need to find the other pieces. He tells you to seek out Anabel for answers. She's located at the castle gates, which you can now unlock. 
• Go forward and talk to Anabel. 
• She will tell you that she has a piece of the compass, but you have to do something for her first. 
• She will then give you a quest. 

Anabel's Quest - Flavor for a Favor

• You will need to go to the Broken well and find the forged key after playing a HO scene. 
• Then Click on the Rock Garden, and use the Forged Key on the chest to get the Nephrite Fan. 
• Click on Anabel to finish her quest. 
• You will receive the Compass Letter. 
• Click on the Compass and drag the letter onto it to repair that section. 
• Prof Pinfeathers will give you another quest. 

Prof. Pinfeather's Quest -  Compass First Aid

• Prof Pinfeathers has more things for you to do. Click on Anabel and she will give you the gate's key, but you need to help her first... this is a theme throughout the game so get used to it. 

Anabel's Quest - Open Sesame

• Click on the Broken Well and play the HO to find the Shard of Soul. 
• Click on Anabel and give her the Shard of Soul to complete the quest. 
• She will give you the Rune Stone. 
• Click on the Castle Gates to unlock them.
• Go forward and talk to the Iron Knight. 

Iron Knight Quest - Knight Moves 

• Go back to the Castle Vicinity and search through the Broken Carriage HO to find the Winged Amulet.
• Go back to the Castle Entry. Click on the Astral Lamp (Above the knight)
• Use the Winged Amulet on the lamp to get the Demonic Ring. 
• Give the Demonic Ring to the Iron Knight to complete the quest. 
• Click on the Iron Knight again for another quest

Iron Knight Quest - Lost and Found

• Return to the Broken Well and play the HO there to get a Forged Key. 
• Use the Forged Key on the Rock Garden to get the Midnight Rose. 
• Return to the Iron Knight to complete the quest. 
• You will receive the compass Ray. 
• Click on the Compass and drag the Ray to repair it. 
• This will then complete Prof. Pinfeather's quest Compass First Aid. 

Prof. Pinfeather's Quest - Innkeeper's Keep

• You'll receive another quest from Prof. Pinfeathers. 
• Go back to the Castle Entry and click on Anabel to get another quest. 

Anabel's Quest - Vamp Inn

• Go to the Castle Vicinity and unlock the Crypt.
• Play the HO scene in the Crypt and you'll receive the Eight-Pointed Star. 
• Return to Anabel to complete the quest. 
• She will give you a Forged Key. 
• Now go to the Castle Vicinity and unlock the tavern on the left. 
• Go into the Tavern and talk to the Innkeeper

Innkeeper's Quest - One for the Road

• Return to the Broken Well and play the HO scene there to get a Shard of Soul. 
• Go to the Crypt and play the Ho scene there to get a Murderer's Eye. 
• Return to the Innkeeper to complete the quest. 
• Click on the Innkeeper for another quest.

Innkeeper's Quest - Two for Good Measure

• Go to the Castle Vicinity and play the Broken carriage HO scene to find the Winged Amulet. 
• Go to the Astral Lamp in the Castle Entry and use the Winged Amulet on the Astral Lamp to get the Dragon's Flame. 
• Go back to the Castle Gates and play the Broken Well HO scene to get a Forged Key. 
• Use the Forged Key on the Rock Garden chest to get the Midnight Rose. 
• Return to the Innkeeper to complete the quest. 
• Click on the Innkeeper to get another quest. 

Innkeeper's Quest - Last Call

• Go to the Crypt and play the HO scene there to get a Torch. 
• Unlock the Burnt Tree. 
• Use the Torch on the candle in the Burnt Tree and take the Demon's Eye. 
• Return to the Innkeeper to complete the quest. 
• You will receive the Compass Cover. 
• Click on the compass and drag the cover to the compass. 
• Click on the now fixed compass and you will be taken to the Castle Entry where the secret door will be revealed. 
• This will complete Prof. Pinfeather's quest - Innkeeper's Keep.
